![]() Useful to have two porches - one for storage. Once we'd had a test run the tent seems very easy to put up - just take your time working it out the first time in dry conditions. Good design means there seems to be a good living space without blocking all the sleeping pod doors. Great tent which is a big improvement on the last one. All in all a very good tent and would happily recommend it.īy: Aremaitch Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2012 Rating: It wasn't particularly windy though so I can imagine there might be a draft if it was. The vents at both ends are good as they stop the condensation in the tent in the morning. There is also a little zip near the door to pass the electricity cable through. Found the porches sloped a bit too steeply so there wasn't much room for manoeuvre when trying to get your shoes off but not much of a problem. Handy storage space in the zip up section next to the big bedroom. Never leaked despite torrential rain on and off for 2 days. Massive living space when only one bedroom up. Got it up in just under 1 hour, my friends cried off the weekend so we only put up the large bedroom inner. Managed to get a perfect fit footprint in the reduced section in the local Winfields store. Overall though, great tent and puts many of our friends' more expensive ones to shame for versatility.īy: Kaytanz Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2012 Rating:īought this secondhand for a bargain price and it had never been used. The only real problem? The porches and doors should have been made vertical as they're awkward to get in and out of, particularly in the rain - and one would have made a perfect shelter for cooking in the rain. Also good for emergency exits should your tent catch fire. Headroom is good, the inner compartment is plenty big enough and two porches/doors mean a portaloo and muddy boots can be separate. The layout is great - a big double for myself and the wife, then two smaller double rooms for the kids, plus a small wardrobe unit too. A pain to get back in the bag but I guess that's commonplace for family tents of this size. It can be done single handed but there is less swearing with two. ![]() It's pretty easy to put up and down - reckon on 30 mins with practice. Luckily this only resulted in droplets of water on the inner fly screen and none actually in the tent itself. The only 'leak' was in both the porches and was caused by the top of the porch flapping against the inner tent in the wind causing a minor drip. It has survived 25mph winds and torrential rain. So we've been on five trips with it now and are generally really pleased. We chose it mainly based on the layout, but the fact that it was on sale at £180 kind of swung it for me ) We bought this tent for our family camping trips with friends. 1 from 1 people found this review helpful, was it helpful to you?īy: 76funk Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2012 Rating:
